The Samtech Epidiascope is a dual-purpose optical projector that combines an episcope (projects opaque objects — book pages, photographs, diagrams, coins, leaves) and a diascope (projects transparent slides and film). One instrument lets a teacher enlarge almost any object or slide onto a screen for the whole class, with no need to redraw or photocopy material.
Built for school and college classrooms, it uses a high-output 1000 W projection lamp with a built-in cooling fan, a quality projection lens with focusing control, and simple lever controls to switch between opaque and slide projection and to raise or lower the image.
| Type | Epidiascope (opaque + slide projector) |
| Lamp | 1000 W, 220–230 V AC |
| Cooling | Built-in forced-air fan, separate lamp & fan switches |
| Controls | Opaque–slide changeover, focus, UP/DOWN positioning |
| Body | Powder-coated metal on stable stand |
| Brand | Samtech |
| Country of Origin | Made in India |
Always switch the fan ON before the lamp, and let the fan run for a few minutes after the lamp is switched off so the unit cools down. Keep the epidiascope covered when not in use.

What is an epidiascope used for?
It projects an enlarged image of both opaque material (book pages, photographs, diagrams, small objects) and transparent slides onto a screen, so a whole class can see the same material at once.
What is the difference between an episcope, a diascope and an epidiascope?
An episcope projects opaque objects by reflected light, a diascope projects transparent slides by transmitted light, and an epidiascope combines both functions in one instrument.
What lamp does the Samtech Epidiascope use?
A 1000 W projection lamp running on 220–230 V AC, with a built-in cooling fan and separate switches for the lamp and the fan.
Can it project pages directly from a book?
Yes. In opaque (episcope) mode you can place a book, photograph, chart or flat specimen on the platform and project it without making a slide or photocopy.
Do you supply epidiascopes in bulk to schools and colleges?
Yes — Samtech is the manufacturer, so bulk and institutional pricing is available. Call +91-86838-78878 or WhatsApp us for a quote.
Who manufactures this epidiascope?
Samtech Instruments, a physics and STEM lab equipment manufacturer in Ambala, Haryana, India, supplying schools since 2002.
